How much does a custom home with HG & Co Design Build cost?

Our custom home projects typically range from $1 million to $3 million, depending on size, finishes, and scope. Every project starts with a transparent budget built alongside your floor plan. Reach out, and we’ll talk through the numbers together.

What happens during the first design meeting?

During the first visit, we explore your needs, family dynamics, lifestyle, inspiration, budget, and the overall process. You’ll sit down with our designer to begin shaping your floor plan and discussing ideas for your future home. Over the next 3–4 visits, we continue refining the layout, reviewing selections, and finalizing details together. We’ll also walk through the design agreement so you leave with a clear understanding of the next steps.

How do I stay informed during the construction process?

We set up your project in JobTread, our project management platform, where you can log in anytime to view your schedule, track progress, and read updates. If you have questions along the way, our team is always available and responsive.

What's included in my exterior design package?

Your package covers floor plans, elevations, renderings, and selection recommendations for every element. You see exactly how your home will look before anything gets built.

How long does a custom home build take?

Build timelines vary based on size, scope, and time of year. Our comprehensive, to-the-studs full remodels (which are practically brand-new homes) typically wrap up in 6 to 8 months, while complex new builds can take up to one yar. Once we understand your scope, we’ll give you a clear timeline you can plan around.

Where can I meet with HG & Co. to plan my new home?

We meet homeowners at our Boutique Design Center located at 9019 Garland Road, Dallas, TX. This is where we walk through floor plans, selections, inspiration, budgets, and project goals together. The space was intentionally designed to feel more like a well-designed home than a warehouse showroom, making it easier to focus and collaborate during the planning process.

Do I need to visit multiple shops to pick my finishes?

No. Our 1,500 sq ft Design Center holds everything you need, from several cabientry brands to luxury tile and premium fixtures. You make every choice in one place without driving across town. It’s one of the parts our clients enjoy most about the process.

What if I'm not satisfied with how the work looks?

We hold every build to a laser-straight standard. If something falls short, we redo it. That’s the commitment from our owner, Herman, who has personally torn out work rather than let anything subpar stand. Just let us know, and we’ll address it immediately.
